Ok so who is shooting a midnight arrow ? I remember a few years ago this was a big thing here . I have been doing the midnight arrow for a long time and yes I have a safe area to shoot out into the woods. Lets see who is out there on this one. Drew
I'm a feared of hitting a drone with a celebratory loose of an arrow. Cresting will trace it back to me.
Years ago I drove out to the pacific/mountain time zone line near Juntura, Oregon and shot an arrow from the mountain time zone just after midnight that landed the year before in the pacific time zone
I like to start the new year doing what I love , tradgang and shooting my bows , drones be danged
StanM, you're a genius. I guess that's like the Russian fishermen that can leave Russia today, drive their boat to the east, fish all day yesterday, then drive their boat back west to Russia and get home today. :D

Hey Drew, I was all set to go out and send an arrow to the forest but... I fell asleep about 8:30
Maybe I"ll go out and shoot a couple stumps in the morning, instead :archer2:
Happy New Year!!!
Ron : I have been there before , have fun stump shootin and have a great new year. Drew
I'm with ronp.......in bed to early to shoot an arrow.
Ron W : Your AARP card lets you out of all late night festivals
It's been several years since I brought in the new year, and I'm only 31. I always figured it'd be there when I woke up, and if it wasn't, I wouldn be able too worry about it anyway.
Drew, If I had a safe place to shoot, I would be doing the same.
I had a few shots anyway :readit: ;) ;)
Happy New Year!
Did,nt send a arrow but emptied a clip from my .40......................
Anyone seen or heard from Bernie...??? I hope the old Jar Head is still alive & kicking!!!!!
Bernie used to get his "Mid-Night Shot" thread going about a week before New Year's Eve, every year. His mother always said, "Whatever you do at mid-night New Years Eve, you'll be doing the whole year long". It was Bernie's way of staying around for another year I guess...
I hope he's still with us & doing well!!! :archer2:
I got my arrow flung about a minute late, but got er done. This was my ninth year doing a midnight shot, usually with my son. He went to a party, but aknowledged that he would be missing it.
I pmd Bernie and he responded this morning, getting on in years so he doesn't shoot at midnight anymore, but was going to try to get out to shoot a bit today.
Thanks for bringing this up Drew. Hope to see you the end of July!,
Kenny : Looking forward to it as always
My AARP card........what makes you think you won't have one you smart A$$.......it's get here sooner than you think :biglaugh: Happy New Year!! From an Old Hardwood Hobbit!!
HA HA :biglaugh: I'm sure I will some day , until then I'll keep shootin my midnight arrow
I've had a tradition since about 1998, just before midnight I shoot an arrow into my 3-D target & mark it 2015, then just after midnight I shoot another arrow & mark it 2016, I have used the same two arrows since I started & there are dates all down the shaft. I hope to continue.
