I know you should "store" you bows unstrung... and I know it only takes a few second to string or unstring a bow. With that said, how long is considered OK to leave your bow strung? It's a rookie question, but would it be OK for me to hang it up "strung" for a day or two? Or do I need to unstring it every time I finish shooting? Thanks!
What kind of bow is it? Glass/wood/bamboo laminated bows can be left strung for extended periods of time with no issues. I hear that solid wood bows, or selfbows, should be unstrung when not in use. I know a guy that has a $1000+ custom that has been strung for close to 10 years now. Still draws the weight written on it. I've even heard that some bowyers advise leaving your bow strung to prevent limb twist during stringing/unstringing.
By the way, I personally leave my bow strung during times when I am shooting it regularly, such as before and during hunting season. During times where I may go a few months without shooting, I usually unstring it.
If I'm not shooting a particular one, I'll unstring it mainly because it makes it easier to hang on one of the pegs I use to store them. A space problem. From what I've been told the more modern bows can be left strung indefinitely. When I do string or unstring, I always use a stringer.
Leaving a bow strung (glass bow, not all wood selfbow) is perfectly fine. Store it hung on pegs. Do not stand it in a corner!

As a bowyer i'll endorse this post. Just use common sense hanging a bow for long periods from one end on a hook and make sure you are not putting the limb in a bind. i recommend a bow rack, where you hang the bow from the string horizontally or set the limbs on the pegs like this one.

i leave mine strung all year except when they go on a horse then they are unstrung and cased
