Received this for Christmas; interesting concept. 4 pocket, about 2000 cubic inches backpack with integral folding chair. Decently made, fairly quiet as new; chair is padded a bit and reclines via a toggled strap underneath. You ain't gonna pack 60+ lbs in it, but for short hunts, it'll carry the essentials and seat you quickly and comfortably....maybe. We'll see.

I could nap on that......... :biglaugh:
It really fascinates me. Years ago, when my son was in Middle School, He had this very same idea. When he asked me if it could be successfully marketed, I said "Probably not". Kinda makes me wonder...
It would really be useful when hunting on the ground, especially if a quiver can be attached.
I tried it on and then slipped on my quiver (Bowers side quiver). Looks like I can carry both no problem. Should work great here at home on our 35 acres. The thing was originally targeted at outdoor concert go'ers and soccer moms....
oh man if that has a head rest that slides up from the back when its reclined like that I'm buying one!
I like the Concept. The largest Issue I would have is, I rarely find ground that is perfectly Flat. I think that chair would excel in flat areas and stink in hill country. I think it would probably make a good blind chair.
Let us know how it works for you!
I have been loving my Waldrop pack chair with a catquiver 3 attached to it. I think you will enjoy the flexibility of being able to move and set up quickly and quietly if based on wind and sign..
What is the brand? I would definitely like to look into this more.
Does it have a weight limit?
Found a website:
www.chairpak.com (http://www.chairpak.com)
Wt limit is 230 lbs.
Google Chair-Pak. I think 300 lbs, Rick.
Man, I could watch football on TV sitting in that!
Do they sell a matching ottoman to go with it??? :biglaugh:
I like the idea. For years I've carried a folding stool with the attached pouch underneath. With a set of backpack straps it carries just like a pack, but this looks more comfortable.
Pretty flat here in coastal Virginia,so Hills not a concern, but I think it might work on a hillside in the reclined position. Hope to at least try it in the woods in a few days...Virginia's last weekend for deer. Rick's correct; 230 lb limit...my bad.
I like that, good turkey hunting chair.

I would buy one, but the website says unavailable.
I wonder where your came from?
Try here, I didn't buy one, but can add to cart....

Sat for 2 1/2 hours yesterday evening; quite comfortable, quieter than I thought it might be, and easy to maneuver through the thick stuff. I like not depending on having a tree to strap to, and set up was quick and quiet. I combined it with a Rivers West camo poncho, which covers both me and the chair, and allows shooting due to armholes. Saw no deer (except for the does in the front field when I came in), but the squirrels and birds were within spitting distance all evening...as close to invisible this side of a ghillie. If it holds up to wear and tear, it's just about perfect for my needs.
Bring a small folding trowel to level the ground, also, cut a piece of outdoor carpet large enough to put the chair on, plus a bit for your feet. That keeps things quiet, it spreads the load so the chair legs don't sink as bad, and it gives a surface to put your bow lower limb tip on while waiting. Roll it up and strap it on when mobile.

Very cool Doc...You will get good use from that for sure..

Sure wish it swiveled-makes it much easier to make those slight changes in direction for the deer that's not in the perfect spot.
It would work better if it had short legs attached. They would only need to be a few inches long. That way, they could sink into un-level ground to steady up. I have found this to be true when using various stools and chairs in the brush blind.
It seemed pretty solid sitting on wet leaves over fairly wet ground; the bottom crossbars have bends on each side, like little legs...anyway, no sinking noted, but I'm only 140 lbs. I'd think a swivel would defeat the purpose of compactness and light weight, and I've truly never really needed it; can swivel at the waist quieter than any gizmo ;)
