I was able to get out this morning for a quick walk and some stump shooting in a small woodlot near my home. It was a frosty walk over to the woods:

Good penetration ... Almost a complete pass through:

Some of the stumps were hard, but these footed carbons held up well. Here was a complete pass through!

I often need snow shoes this time of year, but not this year.

It was fun. I had as many misses as hits, though. Still a lot of fun! :archer2:
Leave to go stumping in 20 minutes......looking forward to some friendly competition.
Have fun Ron! It's pouring here or I'd be out there.

Yes Ron, that's the Morrison riser I got from you quite a while ago. It sat in my dresser for about 3 years, then I finally bought some limbs for it.

Good shooting Ron!
Thanks for sharing

It sure looks like you have huge supply of targets. You need to get out more to thin that immense herd. Stumps are like rabbits, they can increase right before your eyes, so they surely need to be controlled . What's the limit in your neck of the woods? Looks like a great day in the woods.
