Title: Martin Viper carbon longbow
Post by: suttoman on October 17, 2007, 05:23:00 AM
I noticed one for sale in the classifieds.  I got to thinking that they have been out for a while and not much on these threads about them.  A very expensive project to get one into Auss if they are no good.  Any thoughts or happy owners??

I have had a love/hate relationship with Martin.  Didn't like the Savannah for quids, but will never part with my Vision - it is an awesome bow.  After ordering many expensive customs - Horne's, Toelke Whip, Turkey Creek, Renegade, just to name a few - I still reckon my Vision is right up there with the best of them.

Maybe the new Martin may be in the same league.  Let me know guys?

I have a 45 lb viper. Its a quick bow with zero hand shock.I have it tuned to shoot 2018s and cedars with absolute silence.Ill be hunting with it this year if I get one with my curve first.I think they are a bit pricey making many people opt for a true custom instead but they are an awesome longbow.

My only knock is their looks...  really bright straw colored bamboo, basic brown action wood riser, and carbon.  Top this off with a green "Viper" and in just looks Cheap. Also very blocky.....That being said I would love one, they shoot great.

Thanks guys!  When they were first introduced I thought they were going to go right off.  However looks as if they are not going to be that popular.
