Title: #45 verse #60
Post by: links0311 on October 17, 2007, 01:55:00 AM
At the end of the month I will be building my first bow. The man showing me how has left the design up to me. I've choosen a bamboo backed Osage bow. I cannot decide on a draw weight. I have a 56# recurve already and am not to thrilled to have another bow at that same draw weight. I am looking for a weight that I can take hunting (at least 40#), but that I can shoot comfortably right out of the shoot. I will be hunting white tail this year and hopefully boar next year. What do you think? Thanks.

Shoot what feels right to you.Try out a few bows at diffrent weights.Although some bows are smoother than others.Anything over 45# would be fine for most hunting.Have fun and good luck.
