I'll be going down to Florida with my 5 buds the first week of January. This will be our 13th annual winter hog hunt. Last year was a tough one since the rye grass was planted late because they got a lot of rain and it didn't come in by our trip and we had a full moon.
Looking forward to this year since we were told the acorns are basically gone, the rye grass is good and the moon will be 43% waning moon on our first day.
Nothing more fun than stalking them while they are heading to the rye grass to feed.
Got one in January in LA and one in February in FL.
If your a PBS member, check out the website for the membership hunts.

Not to mention that I have 3 different private properties set up with feeders that I keep going 9 months out of the year, and a wma 25 min from my house that's open year around for archery hog hunting. I know, I know, I'm spoiled! :goldtooth:
one thing I do not understand is why our local WMA's are not open year around for archery hogs.
I have one planned in March!
I THINK I will be in Oklahoma during the end of January, camping and chasing pigs.

The trials of success eh Cory!! Heck of a job but somebody has to do it.
I hunt Georgia every year in Jan-Feb with the PBS Member Hunt....then usually try one other every year with other PBS Members also in Georgia or South Carolina.
We have a lot around where I hunt deer but thankfully we do not have them on our property and hope to keep it that way...but I love shooting at them on other peoples land. :)
I'm trapping and killing them weekly here. They're destroying our place right now. They come and go with the rising of the river and it's been up a long time with all the rain we've had. Another month or so of practicing and I'm hoping to be shooting good enough to kill one with my recurve though!! I'll have the summer to break it in on some hogs before I deer hunt with it next fall.
I just wish I had your problem Dalton. How I wish I lived closer to the southern states. Afraid it'll be too late for me by the time they make their way into Jersey. Have heard there have been some taken in south Jersey but none up here in the northern part.
Just got back from another great week with my good buddy Jim Dussias at True South. I saw a ton of pigs, and huge pigs at that. The first morning and evening combined i saw 9 pigs, none of which was under 100#. Overall i probly saw over 20 pigs. The trails and rooting littering the place made it apparent that there was a ton of pigs around, me and my buddy had a blast, and cant wait to return next year.
If you guys are looking for a great pig hunt, set up with stick bows in mind give Jim a try.
Heading down to True South day after tomorrow, can't wait!
I make several trips to my lease this year and then well things again on the Tradgang hunt
Good luck Rick, plenty of pigs around and the weather has been nice.
Thanks Jim, really looking forward to it.
Headed to West Texas Jan 17th for a 9 day pig hunt.
