Any ranges in far NW Chicago suburbs?
(1/1)
Scott S.:
I'm going to be visiting in the Crystal Lake/Elgin/Algonquin area next week. Are there any indoor or outdoor ranges in the neighborhood that you are aware? Thanks for any guidance.

There's an outdoor range/3d range I believe at Cimarron Valley archery in Richmond, IL. Richmond is straight north of Crystal Lake on Rt 31..bout 30-40 minutes.
There's an archery shop in Woodstock, IL but I don't know the name and don't know about a range.
Cabela's in Hoffman Estates may have a range...never checked. Bass Pro in Gurnee has an indoor range I believe.
G.A.T. Guns has an indoor range and is probably the closest.

That's about all I can think of off hand. I haven't been to any of these ranges, just know of them.

the shop in woodstock is closed. midwest cimmaron in Richmond needs some work but is do able. I think it is 10 bucks to shoot the 3d course. the chain of lakes state park has a free range off of Rt. 173 just east of wilmont road. it's free and probably the nicest with an elevated tower.
Scarne:
BTW...where are you guys from?

how about Blackhawk Archers, and there's another club in Sycamore.
