String,
Be sure to get the string off your finger tips and into (or very near the first joints from the ends of your fingers.) This is known as a "deep Hook."
If your fingers are burning or you are getting blisters, something is wrong.

Agree with Arne.
Last summer I started working up to 60#. Had a lot of pain and switched from a glove to a BW 3 under tab. Problem solved.

Get yourself a rubber glove, like the one your wife uses to wash dishes and cut the fingers off and use the tips over your 3 fingers then use the leather shooting glove. Also helps keeps the glove dry from sweat.

A baseball or golf glove is awesome for feeling the string.
I shoot a 58# longbow, bare fingers, but have had many years of callouses building up. Just keep shooting, your fingers will adjust.

And remember not all 3 finger gloves are created equal. I have one that Iove the way the string comes off of it, but it's to light for "all day" shooting. Try as many different gloves as you can as you can afford to, eventually you'll find one that is "perfect" for you. When you find that perfect one...buy another identical to it.

Like Arwin says, you fingers are going to harden in(this is good).Keep shooting and try the Alaska Bowhunting Supply superglove if you get a chance. They are nice.Keep shooting, and you soreness will go away when your fingers toughen in.Also, when you get a chance try a tab,you might really like it.

X2 on the Alaska Bowhunting Supply superglove. I just bought a new spare, but have been shooting the first one for about 5 years now. I don't really want to "feel" the string. I just want it to sit there and then leave my fingers when I relax them.
