Violent Shot Critique my Form

(1/3) > >>

turkeybow:
Please critique my form and see if someone can point out why my shots seem so violent. My bow arm falls away, my shoulders collapse down, and my hand flies away from my face. Been trying for many years to learn proper form and be able to consistently bare shaft arrows for hunting. Any help is much appreciated

Let me know if the links arent working.

McDave:
It's not as bad as you make it sound.  Keep working on getting your string arm back further around behind the arrow, and the small amount of hand flying away from your face that you have will go away. Keep rotating your shoulders into the bow, which will feel like you're pushing with your bow arm, but isn't, and you will firm up your bow arm. You're doing more things right than most of my students.

turkeybow:
Thank you very the informative reply!

Could you unbox the box shoulder thing a little more?
