Push-Pull another shooting question

Yohon... I personally think you've discovered something very important for accurate shooting. If the last thing you do in the shot process is "push" the bow, then your accuracy or at least your consistency should improve. I do basically the same thing.

Yohan, I agree with Charlie.That last little push toward your aiming point will make for more consistant shooting.It is something that I find myself working on quite a bit.

I agree with Charlie and Curt...I slow draw on deer using the push/pull method and that last "few inches" where you feel it in your back makes for a solid bow arm and I find increased my accuracy tremendously.

I know this is going to sound silly..but do you guys ever make just an unbelievably awesome shot - then you cannot even recall drawing, and releasing the arrow? You didn't think about ANYTHING..it just happened?

I guess that's why we practice so much...to make what we talk about AUTOMATIC...i just find it interesting that some of my best shots...just unbelievable shots...come when I cannot even remember drawing the bow at all.

Yes Ray and usually when you make that unbelievable shot no one is there to wittness it.  :(  

I did have a wittness to an unbelievable shot once. I shot at a Starling on the side of a hill 100yd's away. The arrow looked close but the bird didn't fly off. We couldn't believe it when we found him  pinned him to the ground

Shot a running ground squirrel one time at 60 yards with a witness. I know how much luck was envolved,but hey, I WAS shootin at him!  :D

Zen and the Art of the Draw... I thought it sounded good, anyway  :D  .

When I shoot for form- eyes closed, six feet away- my arrows all seem to group in the same  hole . When I'm shooting at a distance, 5-20 yds., if I can feel the shot my groups are tight, but mostly my eyes get in the way of my ability, such as it is. I second guess myself out of the spot trying to aim.
