New shooting clip from Tarz
« on: August 08, 2004, 10:16:00 AM »
Terry's added a new video clip to his previous posts on shooting. This is a rear view that clearly shows the inline travel of drawing arm during shot.

Watch closely over Terry's left shoulder after the third shot. I think a couple more shots and he would have had that deer completely field dressed.

Van and Bill, this is an .asx file and older versions of Windows Media Player does not support it. You can get free upgrades to the Player from the Microsoft website.

Well I've tried everything to get these vids to play. My media player must have a glitch, cause it will download about 20% then play it, then have to wait for it to get another 20%, and it will play that much again. When all in downloaded, then it won't play a thing!

I've pulled my hair out, not being able to watch the clips in their intirety! But the still photos I get have been a great help.

Can anyone help me?

Timo, instead of clicking on the file to open, right click the file and download to your harddrive. After it has downloaded open it up in your Media Player. Be sure and use the address I posted above and not the one listed in the video forum.

Although I’m no expert on proper shooting techniques I would say Terry’s form is about as good as it gets. Very smooth and consistent. And his arrows from what I can tell always go where they are supposed to. I’d love to able to shoot that way but at this stage in my life I know it ain’t gonna happen. Kinda’ disgusting, ain’t it?

  :)

However, I make a motion that we all take up a collection and purchase a proper quiver for Terry to go with that fine shooting. That load’n arrows by the shaft is driving me crazy.

Several years ago while shooting on a local clubs 3-D course I made the suggestion that anyone caught handling their arrows by the shaft, or any other place other than the nock, should be docked 50 points on their final score at the end of the day. I haven’t been invited back to shoot since. Hmmmmmmmm.......

Maybe Killdeer will donate her blue jean leg Quiver. Would that be left or right?
