Here ya go…. Check out this resource. Nichrome is probably the best heating element material you could find.  Do some research here and see what you come up with.

Check out Utube there’s several videos showing exactly how to do it. There’s also DIY creating machine builds including the motor setup.

After running the heat cable through two 2 hr cycles the outer covering looks sort of deformed in places telling me that it isn't designed to handle that much heat. So now, instead of wondering if it would work I now know the answer.
