Stumpin In Wisconsin

Are we allowed to carry our bows and stump shoot while out scouting in the public lands?

I figure i'll ask here before DNR  since i always seem to get a different answer from whoever i talk to over there.

A few years ago a friend and myself were shooting on public land when hunting seasons were closed.Noticed we were being watched from the other hillside.Once he knew we busted him he stepped out and you could see he was in uniform. He just asked a few questions, told us to be safe and went on his way.Sorry I can't give you a for sure answer.

Yes it is legal to stump shoot here. I called and talked to a GM and Madison! Enjoy!
