Well, he ain't the biggest baddest buck in the woods, but I made a great shot, and he will taste very good! Many times I am guilty of having little restraint (that translates into he came back one too many times for his own good)!

I'm guilty myself. Had the same thing happen last year on a 6 point I passed twice before he can back perfect for the video camera.

Down here in Tx in the county I hunt in, there are antler restrictions. You can shoot one buck wider than 13", and you can shoot a second that has at least one unbranched antler regardless of width.
