State Trad Bowhunting Orgs > MARYLAND - Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland
This weekend
(1/1)
Ted:
Its Friday and I have no real plans for the weekend. Honeydo list seems pretty small and easily procrastinated. I have a surprisingly free weekend.
SO, I am looking to fling arrows, make arrows, shoot bows, make bows, scout, look for sheds, etc. I seem to never get weekends like this. Does anybody know of anything going on in the state? Any 3-D shoots? Anyone feel like doing any archery stuff this weekend?

Just saw this post....stand by for a phone call..
Ted:
I got SuperK's call - We have set up an "Arrowthon" for tomorrow. My head is spinning with excitement. We have dozens and dozens of arrows to work on, osage staves, Wingnut Bamboo backed glue-ups to hack up.
We'll also probably be shootin quite a bit and I plan on smoking a deer roast in the morning for lunch time snacks.
Anybody else want to join us?

Well let's see, we set up a gruelling 3-D course in Teds backyard. Flung arrows with the kids and wives for a couple of hours. I made a string for my recurve , Bear 76er from the banquet, and it shoots pretty darn good(thanks Tony) Ted put some overlays (osage and chechen) on one of my bows and we recycled a passel of his broken cedars for my son Garrett to shoot. Oh and if Ted ever asks you if you want some smoked Venison roast the answer is h&^!! yeah ! Man that was good. Thanks for the hospitality Ted can't wait to return the favor.
Ted:
It was a great time. Thanks to you, Marcia, and the kids for making the trip up. We all had a blast.
I decided I will probably take the fox off the course and move the caribou. Thanks for helping me set it up. I am excited to get home and shoot 'the course' tonight.
I look forward to getting down there and trying some of those crabs you were talking about.
Ted
