2003-2004… Back to back Mtn.Goats.  Frustrated after not drawing goat in Colorado with 21 years of preference points, I chose to hunt them in Ak. I was an assistant guide in Ak for a number of years and got to know some guides as I still needed one. Harvested a beautiful 11” goat on day 3, but it fell , slid and tumbled to a spot that the guide said was not approachable… Well, it took me 10 hours to get it out = poor tip for the guide…
2004 found me opening my goat tag in Colorado for a third season rifle unit. Day 1 offered another record book goat at 13,000 ft. If your thinking,What a lucky dog, your absolutely Right …
