86 year old stave

(1/4) > >>

rainman:
I got this stave at an estate auction pre coviid.  The estate belonged to a gentleman who was neighbors with the Hoyt family.  I believe the stave was cut for him by Earl sr.  I picked up 4 wooden recurves that day. and 1 fiberglass bow marked Hoyt archery Bridgeton Missouri that could not be found in any of the early catalogs, I think it may have been a one off for this gentleman.  I will post pictures as I progress on this bow.  Stave cost me $10.

Wow that's a chunk of history!!

You gonna make a bow with it or keep it as is?
