Hey Ya’ll!
Just got into traditional bow hunting. Haven’t ever shot a bow before and I’ve got to say for a beginner shooting at 15 yards and actually hitting the block made me super happy! Anyways I’m here today to get some suggestions on tuning if needed and some opinions on my setup!
Currently I’m running a Fred Bear Super Grizzly at 50# my draw length is 27” and I’m using gold tip 400’s cut to 28-29in using 150 grain magnus stingers and 150 grain field points. I’ve noticed on my first set of arrows there were 125 grains field tips on them from the start and noticed a slight paradox with them where the tail would be kicked to the left. Occasionally happened not as frequent and not heavily kicked to the left.
Let me know what y’all think. I may just need more practice but when out for 2nd day of practice and my grouping is coming together!
Thanks in advance!

I think your arrows are a bit over spined. Drawing 27” on a 50# bow should be around 47#. I think you may benefit from using 500 or 600 spine. Personally I shoot a 47# longbow of my own making and draw 28”. I am shooting 500 spine cut to29” with 250 grains up front. Best wishes

You’re the second person who also stated that. I’ll have to get a few 500’s and try them out. Thank you
