Manitowoc County

Hello all, my wife and I are looking at a piece of property up in Manitowoc County next week.  Ideally this would be a place where we'll build our last home and retire.  But that's quite a few years away yet.

Anyway, one thing that's important to me is the ability to bow hunt "close" to home.  I've done some looking on the DNR website and found some land that's open to hunting.  I'm curious what the overall opinion is of the public land hunting in that area.

Also if there's any archery clubs nearby as well.  I imagine I'll join one when life slows down for me and I can contribute.

Whitetail Bowhunters in Johnsonville is near Manitowoc. Great club, great trad shoots as well. I'm sure one of their members will chime in....
