shaft slinger,

I'm in Machesney Park and still pretty new to traditional stuff. Where's your club? I'd love to stop by and see how everyone else does this stuff.

Im from Edwardsville. Just started shooting recurve, after several years with compound. Still alot to learn, but loving every minute.
I hunt deer because I love the entire process; the preparation, the excitement,and sustained suspense of trying to match my woods lore against the finely honed instincts of these creatures. - Fred Bear

I am from Glen Carbon, IL about 20 to 30 mins from St. Louis. I just moved to IL in sept. from MS. I was kind of hopeing that some people on this IL. forum could help me. I am looking for places to hunt that are public hunting but have some really good hunting. I really can't afford to join a club to hunt even though if I had the money I would because I really love to hunt. I can't wait to hunt in the snow next hunting season. it's going to be awesome. Thanks everybody and be safe

I'm in Machesney Park.  I'm not religious about it, but I really enjoy trad archery, and shoot pretty regularly... in my backyard!
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Outside a small town called Albia, Monroe county, Iowa, six miles back on a gravel road,,,
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
