bowfishing for carp

Hello all I'm from Alberta and tonight at our range I was chatting to a fellow about bowhunting for carp.  He says he's been to Montana a few times in the spring with the Montana Traditional Bowhunters Assn. (hope that's the right name).  Can anyone tell me more about this?  I've always wanted to try bowfishing but in Alberta we just don't have this available.

Every year the Montana Bowhunters Association has a carp shoot on canyon ferry reservoir near Helena.  Some pics and such can be found here...
