I noticed all the pictures of successful hunts in the newsletter were from out of state.

That's because nobody is sending in any pictures or stories, myself included. I need to get better at that and hope others will send stories and pics in as well. The newsletter was kind of thin this time. Lets see if we can make the next one a little thicker.

I have yet to be succesful with my bow on big game otherwise I would have sent something.  It is a bit discouraging to see how many of our members leave the state because of the low success rate here.  I still enjoyed the pictures.

Jerr lives in Montana and Joel went to Wyoming after taking a large bull here. Joel has also taken a doe ad is trying to get his second deer on a special drawing. I was lucky this year also taking a bear and two does. So don't get too discouraged, just keep at it, success will come.

I actually started to think about a guided bow hunt for elk to help with the steep learning curve.  That was until I saw most are just dumping apples all year. Not much education value.

Had some smokepole success this year but that isn't my passion.
