Just will throw this up here. I am a new member.  Live in Grantsburg Wi (Northwest Wi). Just getting into the sport, bought a longbow.

Welcome to traditional archery Chip. I hope that you have joined the Wisconsin Traditional Archers as well. If not, please consider it. Our info is right here on this page. Our banquet and expo is coming up Feb 18 in Stevens Point. I can assure you that it would be worth the drive even if you just come for the day. No charge for admission.
Perhaps the closest shoot for you is the Chippewa Falls shoot held the first weekend after Memorial day. Be sure to make that one. Chris puts on a great shoot.
