I was at that first Buckmasters event and remember meeting several of the guys you mentioned. Alas, Paul was not one of them.

Your recollection of Paul as an athelete parralels mine of Bo. I've never met another human that was as gifted and athelete as Bo. I would have loved to witness that between the two.

No doubt Paul was the better hunter, though.

However, if you remember, Bo was hunting with a rifle back then. Buckmasters was pushing hard the "one shot" kill. Bo shot a nice buck and only wounded it. So as not to use two bullets, he exited his stand, chased down the deer, and killed it with his knife. That was somethin'.

By the way, the picture with Barry holding the possum in one hand and the armadillo in the other still hangs on the wall there. The caption reads something like, "Enjoyed some of the South's finest cookin'".   :D  

Cracks me up every time I see it.
