How quiet is the Waldrop Pac Seat?

(1/5) > >>

azhunter:
For those of you that own the Waldrop Pac Seat how quiet is it when you turn your body or shift your weight? I have a millennium swivel chair that is amazing. It is comfortable and super quiet but the pac seat is about half the weight and when packing way in on some 2-3 days pack in hunts I want something with less weight. I have tried some other lighter wight stools and seats but due to the noise/squeeks they make I don't use them anymore. Thanks!

Mine is pretty quiet but i find im stuck in that seated position when shooting,  so im 220 and twisting and turning isnt as fluid as it was when i was 160,, if a deer comes in hard right or left im nervous to try to shift. Into a position to make that shot,, i feel limited on shot coverage with the pac seat,, its very comfortable but i need to have that seat positioned in the best spot!!

Not as quiet as I had hoped. I’ve tried WD-40 and it helped. I tried baby powder which also helped but am concerned about the scent. Despite that I like my seat but because of the squeaks see it more as a coyote or gun deer seat than a trad bow hunting seat.

Im not having a squeak problem but i only used mine maybe 10 times,,, you think thin teflon or poly washers in between the metal
To metal contacts would help??  I wouldnt be using wd40
Its not a lubricant and especially baby powder in the woods.   Try olive oil
Or lithium grease,,, id get the poly washers first,,,, i used to buy the cheapest treestands and before hangin put very thin poly washers between all
The contact points and they never made a peep

I’ve had mine for 4 seasons and the only sound I’ve had came from the mesh rubbing on the frame, not the connection points.  I put some unscented silicone boot spray on the contact points and the sound went away
