This is a thread to plan the 2017 bunny hunt. We talked about waiting till after the holidays and the season closes on February 28th, so that probably puts us somewhere between mid-January and the end of the season. As it gets closer we can dial in the date.

We will be having it in Owatonna. John has lined up some property for us.

Maybe Jer will get the Winnebago out and the northern boys can road trip it south.

I've thought about it, but I can't take one boy hunting and not the other, and that is a total dynamic shift for me hunting with them as opposed to just me and the guys. I'm taking them rabbit hunting soon just us anyway.

This weekend is starting to look like it won't work for me. My dad has an appt. at Mayo all that week. I will have to go with him for some/all of the week .

Colin had ACL surgery on his knee this Fall and can't be in the woods this Winter.

Is their another weekend that works?

OK lets see if we can get some traction on a date. the last weekend in feb doesn't work for me and the last weekend in jan doesn't work for chad. but i'll still list them. If you're planning on coming, just copy the dates below and add your name to the dates that WORK. after a couple of weeks, we can look at what dates have the most names on them. Chad, can you follow up with the guys that aren't on Trad Gang?

Been holding off on committing to this hunt. Been battling on-going knee and ankle issues all winter (what's new) so doesn't look like I'll make it. If you set a date I'll see how things feel and maybe make it down for a day.
Bring a sled in case you have to drag me out.

The last Saturday I will be around will be the 11th. I could host it if needed on that date if John can't work it out for a different day. even the 11th would be kind of short notice for most. We could sleep at my wood shop on Friday and Saturday night if needed. there are some wild life areas near by that I could check for rabbit populations.

John is unavailable the 4th but the 11th will work. Let's plan on the weekend of the 11th and 12th. Johns place is in Owatonna and here is his number if you want to call him. 507 676 4229. I won't be able to make it until Saturday afternoon but John has a place for us to camp in his heated garage. In the evening we may be able to go to the indoor archery range and shoot.
We may even be able to stay in the range house where there is a bathroom and kitchen. He will check on it. Chad
