So far I haven't seen a deer, except driving to or from - before/after hours and in areas I can't hunt - (rueful smile). I will admit I am not getting out as often this year as I have in the past but usually at least once a week. That's as much as a lot of working hunters are able to get out so I would expect better luck. As we all know, track soup is not very filling.   :archer:

Well good luck ber643. I hope it picks up for you. Much of the same here with seeing the deer after or before shooting light and or on private land.

Hey Jesse.  Glad to see you are getting out there and tracking them down.  Good to see you made meat on the elk.

I am waiting on the late season in Unit 55 for deer.  Between work and my home situation, I have been pretty tied up.  I have three weeks of vacation and some of it is going to be used during the 55 hunt.

I'll PM you and catch up some more, soon.

I haven't gotten out for deer yet.... but I had a 4x4 mulie a 1/4 mile from my house at noon a couple weeks ago.  "Out of bounds" though...

Elk was a bust though.  Came home early with a migraine.

Hopefully I'll get out for deer here soon.

Not a monster... but he looks tasty to me!  There is a really big 4x5 I have seen a couple times on my morning runs hanging around the neighborhood though..... but I never have my camera.

I put my elk in the freezer the first day of the season (1X5 raghorn), shot my turkey a little while back, and had to resort to my rifle to get my deer a couple days ago before the season closes.  So I have had a great season so far.

I got skunked during the bow hunt in unit 54, I hadn't had venison for 2 years now so I shot one with my rifle down in unit 56.  In my defense the rifle was a single shot.

My wife had a doe tag for unit 55 and filled it about a week ago.

I shot a cow elk in September with my Quillilan bamboo longbow; and a doe on Nov 16th with my elm Sentman longbow... still have an 'any deer' tag for our unit 28 December hunt..
