First animal with the longbow

So I was sitting in the tree stand today and was able to take my first animal with the longbow....... it was a ground hog at 30 yards    :goldtooth:   hahaha not exactly what I was hunting for ha

Good way to hone your skills.  30 yards.... that's amaizing.  In the five years it took to take my first traditional deer,  I killed a couple of groundhogs, racoons and squirrels.  In fact I killed a groundhog and then missed a 4 pointer 15 minutes later.     :laughing:       Congrats

Congrats! Now you should be ready for a deer! Groundhogs can be pretty tough to hit. 30 yards is very impressive!

Way to go, groundhogs can be tough. Should be good when a deer comes in range. Congrats.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
