Thanks, guys I appreciate your input, and I will definitely have to check one out.  I normally use and shoot 62" bows, but if they are as smooth and forgiving as people are saying, I might have to try one of those sixty-six-inch bows out!

I normally leave mine set once I get it where I want it unless I'm climbing with a rope using SRT, and then I'll shorten it up while I'm climbing and reset it once I'm on stand.

Great kill and pic has clarity! Nice Widow and quiver combo. What jig did you use to get that helical?

Oh good to know. Are there any performance/durability differences with the edge vs flat grain?

Both of Roger Rothhaar's books are great, as is anything by the twins. Barry's latest book, The Old Man and the Tree" has really made me think about stand placement and it has become my favorite book on hunting deer. I have read almost all of the books mentioned above and they are definitely worth reading. It's interesting to me to read the different authors and compare their thoughts and techniques. If you read Gene's books, he has changed his thinking over the years and he tells you so and why.

4 lams of edge grain walnut so all you see is the edge under the black glass.

Flat grain can be awesome under clear glass

BigJim. The peal ply on the laminate does that mean that no sanding or degreasing is necessary?
