Al Dente:
Tomorrow will mark the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks.  Having witnessed the horror first hand in downtown Manhattan, what I saw that day, I relive every day, as if it had just happened.  But, I am alive, and with no ill health effects.
Although, 2,974 innocent people lost their lives that day, that number is nearly doubled for those survivors and first responders who have succumbed to illnesses related to the exposure when the towers fell.
Please keep ALL of those people and their loved ones in your prayers.
May God Bless America and all of those who defend her both home and abroad.

4dogs:
Never forget...

Killdeer:
This is one of those things that takes a long time to absorb, and then, a long time to have anything new, or wise, or healing to say about it. Certainly, we are not healed.
Everyone has a story of where they were when this, that, and the others happened. Some will have you curled in a weeping ball in a dark corner.

I wonder, can we heal?
We can be strong. Stronger.
We will change.

But can we heal from such violence against innocents?
Anybody have anything helpful to say?
