Yes Lin is a great master knifemaker and he is also member here.
I became aware of him here on Trad Gang and over the time I have acquired 3 great hunter knife from him. One of them is my go to for wild boars, very tough knife

"REAL" books...hardcover preferably, but soft cover will suffice if it's the only option.  As many on here, I'm old school too.  If I pay for something, I want physical evidence...something I can hold and have for years to come.

It's no different than my music...100% vinyl, with a few Chad Slagle CDs. :)

Haven't seen that name in a long while.  The knives I remember were exquisite! Congrats!

I have always loved this knife style since I saw one you made nearly 20 years ago.

Elkheart all the way... or any of Gregg's bows!!
I've owned three different Java Man models - all are awesome, but the Elkhearts just fit me best!
Gregg is an awesome bowyer & gentleman to deal with, you'll have zero regrets if that's the direction you go.
Congrats on retirement - Enjoy!!

Hey Cody, thanks for sharing.  Mr. Bear deserves it for doing so much for Grayling, but also the traditional archery community.

Just out of curiosity, where will the statue be displayed?  Will it be on the grounds of the old Bear factory?

...well Kirkil, teached most of it myself here and ended up doing things a little different :wavey: .
apart of the itchy dust I didn't see much difference to wood when making that glassbow.
Biggest difference is that you need to be very careful with tiller on a wooden bow and thats where the "natural reflex" comes into play - glass on the other hand will tolerate just anything. Other difference was, I didn't tiller anything on that glassbow, whereas I always do some tiller-adjustments to the woodies. last but not least i made it 9mm instead of 13mm thick for the same weight. I dont see twist in my limbs - just gotta work with square material.
I like the results and so do my customers.  Multiple national championships and records against all these glassy longbows  :goldtooth:
cheers
