Traditional Bowhunters of MN
« on: September 01, 2020, 04:48:36 PM »
So my question is how to notify trad shooters in MN of what is happening like shoots, the rabbit hunt and the continuing august get together. I am putting together a list of the shooters I know to let them know. I am thinking about making a traditional bowhunters of MN face book page. some people don't have face book so I am working on a phone number text list that I can push stuff out on. thoughts.

Eleven views but no replies? I guess this is where you would like the info to go?

Not sure what's the best way to go Todd?  I check in here, but maybe not as often as I should. I hadn't checked for awhile and forgot/missed MTAR. An e-mail list would be nice for you to spread the word about "stuff", but it all is work for you/some one.  Ask for e-mail addresses here and maybe on the *********** if it's allowed and on TAS?  Seems like us Minnesota bowhunters/archers are a hard bunch to keep organized and active.

I'm kind of leaning toward a three point attach. Here, a Face Book page and a phone text for people that don't do computer.
507-380-6625 if you text me with your name I can put you in my contact list.

Similar to some others, I probably don't check in here as often as I should.  I think your idea of 3 point attach is a good one, but it seems to me that if you have all the phone numbers it would be less time consuming for you to just send out a text message(s).

I’ll message you my number Tod. I’ll also try to get on here more, for some reason I just don’t go on forums about anything as much as I used to.

Never really been active with the group......but I always keep thinking that I want to.......work & family time mess up a lot of traditional archery and bow hunting time.......

I don't have a Facebook account and that's not likely to change......

I do check in here with some regularity.......

I'll  think about a phone or email group...

There apps like Remind....don't know exactly how they all work but I think you add in your phone number and then when a message goes out to the group everyone in the group get it...

Would like to some rabbit hunting with you all.....

The August event usually comes up against my son's birthday and/or family vacation time......

Normally we do a rabbit hunt in January. What do you guys think? Will it be a pass this year?

I’ll gladly go with the beagles if you guys want. I’ll be going whenever the weather permits. I have on other hunt coming up with some buddy’s that we are trying to nail down a date on but I can try to get that to happen sooner rather than later.
