Fly Fishing Rio Grand river trip-3

This will be a full day float, fly fishing trip on the colorado gold medal Rio Grand river. I will furnish fishing tackle or you can bring your own. Lunch on river and some great Mexican food for dinner or Elk steaks over a camp fire your choice.

Awww....now you've gone and made me *almost* feel bad for what I wrote.

That would be a cool trip to double up, plus a little exploring on the drive there and back. Bob has offered this trip several times and I think it is just for one person. If he can accommodate two, then we need to do a little struhteegerizin'.

from the conversation so far, not sure you guys could get along for a full day in one boat.


this can be done best on a Friday-sunday, river has peaked last week. late fall may not have enough water to get over the diversons but we would have other river options.

Took the Granddaughters on a half day float today, river is high and fast, but on the way down. I did get in a little fishing. Just a couple of some I got to the net.

  Due to all this covid stuff I am making this trip open ended, the same as I have done with other bidders in the past. This Year or next, what ever works for you.
Just need to do it before I am too old to ROW.

Dang this looks like a fun trip. Trout fishing on the Rio Grand was my family’s summer vacation every year. We would go up to South Fork and just fish the whole week. Man it was a good time. Love it up there on the Rio Grand. Whoever gets this trip just know how jealous I am.
