Holm-Made Shrike Longbow - Superb
« on: December 23, 2021, 08:00:51 PM »
A long delayed review of my new Shrike Longbow from Chad Holm in MN.
I don't have enough superlatives to describe this bow, so I'll keep it brief.
Quiet, smooth, zero hand shock, puts them right where I look (when I look in the right spot).

Gorgeous all North American native woods with elm veneers sourced from a local Minnesota tree.
Fit and finish are simply perfect.  Feels great in the hand, like I've been shooting longbow my entire life.
Enough of me, here's the bow.

Thanks Chad, she's perfect.   :archer2:

p.s. - I just learned that Chad passed away over a year ago.  This saddens me greatly as he was one of the nicest, gentlest and easiest guys to work with I ever knew.  He went way above and beyond for me and i suspect that wasn't unusual.

RIP Chad.  Until we meet again.

I have two of Chad's bows, he was one of the best. Sadly he passed away in August of 2020 at 49......

Oh my goodness I had no idea!  I'm deeply saddened to hear that.

RIP brother, you were definitely one of the good ones.
