This years traditional bunny hunt will be held by Mankato. I will be hosting this hunt on the weekend of Feb. 16 and 17. Hunt Saturday and or Sunday. I have accommodations at my place in the basement for cots and sleeping bags. We will be hunting my property and some public lands. I have a 40 acre farm site just north of Mankato on 169. Give me a call or post if interested. Tod Becker 507-three eight zero-9625.

I also have about 10 gray squirrels in the yard that need to be culled.

I'm a ways from Palisade, feel free to stay over Friday or Saturday. It sounds like Gerry will make it. Turns out he only lives about a quarter a mile away. I will have at least a couple of other people from Mankato so about 6 people so far.

Thinking about it, but I'll be packing my bags for a mid-week trip up to Lake of the Woods so I'm not sure yet. May be a last second decision as I may be running the smoker for ice fishing grub that weekend.

It's looking like I can make it down Friday evening, hunt Saturday and head home that evening. I have a boneless wild hog ham that I could throw in a crock pot Saturday morning to be served for the evening meal, if necessary.

Sounds good, I'll be around all week end. I retreved another large burl for you guys to look at. We don't have the three feet of snow like up north but we do have two feet. snow shoes may be helpful.

Not gonna make it. Too much to do, too little time to do it in.

If someone has an extra set of snow shoes that would be great. Jacob and I have only one set. How about sleeping arrangements. Do you have any extra sleeping pads or cots? We will come down Friday night, kinda late. Chad

Can't help with the snowshoes, but I have a couple camp cots you could borrow if you wanted to swing by on your way down, or I could meet you at Cabela's if it's not too awfully late. Only have one foam pad for one of the cots.
I can pick them up the following weekend on my way back from Lake of the Woods if you want to borrow them.

Thanks Greg. I ordered a mattress through amazon that should be here Friday. We will come through St. Cloud so it won’t work to meet. I appreciate it though. Chad

Yes it was fun. Jacob wants the marinade recipe for the pork, Joe. Thanks Tod and Dianne. I think we should get together for a turkey hunt this spring. Chad

Chad, no real recipe for it. I always use orange juice as the base and add to that. One that roast I added apple juice, salt, pepper, oregano, some random rib rub and probably garlic.
