And a Billy today! I shot up at him from below about 20 yards. Quartering away.

Congrats, I was just on da big island and didn't score but had a great time chasing da goats and looking for piggies and turkeys. It's nice to just spend time out in the lava fields alone.
I'll be back as soon as I can.

Yesterday's adventure with the Bear Montana 45# ended in a nice little chocolate colored billy. Shot  at 26 yards. "called" him in.  Pass through.  Good eating size ( had curry for dinner tonight).

I bought this bow on a whim, one of the best decisions I ever made. Take the silly leather grip off and it is one of my favorite bows ever.

Ryan, Nice meeting you too! Cool to see we know a lot of the same people.  Hope to make it into the woods with ya one of these days!

I went back up yesterday and got a few pics of one of my favorite areas.

I did manage to bag a little nanny on the trip too!

I went up to a new favorite spot and put the hurt on a nice billy today. He was not the biggest of the herd but the biggest one I could get close to!

Man I love this style of hunting! All spot and stalk. So much fun! dangerous terrain.

I am, however, noticing that there is a lot less action now that it is rifle season. More pressure and animals are more skittish.

On the other hand, during the hike out I saw three decent sized pigs!  First time for that in this spot.
