Thanks for the pics and info.  This sounds like something I need to try.  When i think ok of hawaii I always think of beaches, hotels, and high prices, everything my wife loves except the prices of course.  We have talked about going and now I have something to look forward to.   Good job and good hunting.. I love this thread!  How many different species of deer do you have in Hawaii?

We have two species of deer in Hawaii. There are Axis deer on Maui, Molokai and Lanai, and black tailed deer on Kauai.

I'm pretty sure they'll be a pile of Axis on the Big Island soon too. I don't think the eradication program for them will be too sucessful in that large an area of land.

Hey Ryan,  Just curious you have many different kinds of camo in your pictures, do you have one you prefer or are they all about the same?

Thanks for the fun,

Shane

Thank you Brian!

Shane,

For my type of hunting, I'm really concerned about my movement.  In terms of apparel, materials and mobility are key factors.  I do think that breaking up the figure and silhouettes are important factors too.  I wish I could take a "leafy wear" style vest/jacket with me all the time, but it's too hot and heavy for the hunting that I do.
For just the camo print, (using my "human eyes") recently, I've been using max-1 in the terrain that I hunt.

Ryan
