Is public or private, or not to be discussed?

Hello,

I am planning on visiting Maui this winter ... any bow hunting on this island that you can turn me on to? Thanks.

Vince,
Are you looking for public or private land?  Maui is primarily private land hunting.

highlife, there is public land at Poli Poli to hunt, I have yet to hunt there myself, so  don't know how good the hunting is, heck I still need to get a license...

Thanks guys. I am looking for both I guess. Any contacts for private land would be awesome and if you had an idea of cost that would be appreciated.

As far as public land, any other leads besides Poli Poli to hunt? Thanks.

Maui's tough as there are not many public land areas to bow hunt. (that I know of)  When I hunted there, I primarily hunted on private land, with the permission of land owners.

What are you interested in hunting? Private or public land?

I'm returning to Maui and would like to bowhunt goats as I did in 2010.  I hunted on the west side of the Haleakala volcanoe. Is that area open to the public now as it was then?
