Newish Shooter

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been shooting on and off for a few years, started pre-kids and am now making the time to get back into it.  I started off with ill fitting gear and have been working a bit over the past year to get myself set up properly and practice regularly when the weather is nice(ish).  Now that it's warming up again I'll be out every day to shoot and want to make sure that I'm not wasting my time or making things harder than they need to be.

I live across the river from Albany and was wondering if there are some trad friendly folks in the area, nearby ranges where I could get some practice in and possibly get some pointers on form and whatnot.  I'm normally shooting in the driveway, so I'm not looking for an every day range, just someplace to meet up with some others and leech knowledge.

I'm shooting a Samick Journey, 45lbs at 28" with a draw to about 30.5-31"

I appreciate any input,
Russ
