Looking for a group
« on: October 20, 2014, 03:41:00 PM »
Hello folks, complete newbie here.

I Hope everyone is having a great season so far.

as I said, I am a newbie in guilderland schenectady area and I am looking for a trad group that doesn't mind showing newbie the ropes(or strings and sticks).

I know it's start of the hunting season, and everyone is out there. So I don't expect to Join up until things calm down after December.

Any help is appreciated.

Huntmaster70.

I saw their website while a go but as it wasn't updated since 2012, I wasn't sure if they were still active. I will contact them and see where I can go from here.

I appreciate you taking your time to reply.

Your timing isn't the best but soon after the hunting season there are a surprising number of folks around here who will help you out. MHTA is a great start and puts on some fun shoots in Delmar and Amsterdam. If you travel there are some big trad shoots in the summer, Denton Hill in PA, Whittingham in NJ and OXTAR near Binghamton that are great to meet people at and buy and try out bows.

Welcome.  I will be happy to shoot with you. I am also a member as the last 2 posters of the MHTA

I think you found the old website.

Here is a link to the new one.

Hope to see you at the net shoot. It will most likely be an indoor shoot in December or January.  A few of us shoot indoors in the winter to help pass the time until Turkey season.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

It was good to meet you at the MHTA meeting last night.......hope you can make more and maybe a stump shoot or two.

Hi Ron! Sorry for late rep.  Changed my PC and forgot my password.  thanks for letting me be part of the group. I had a lot of fun shooting with everyone. I'm hoping to be able to make more of the meeting, Saturday during the day is tough as I teach at the time.  I'm sure there will be other opportunities though  :) .
