Where to shoot near Bend OR
« on: March 31, 2012, 12:35:00 AM »
Kind of late notice, but we are headed to Bend for Spring break this weekend.  I am bringing the bows along and wanted to know if there are any walk around ranges in the area.  If not, where's a good place to take some 5-10 year olds stump shooting.  Thanks for your help.

try to call Archery Past - Dave Doran and see what's around. Maybe some guys from there will catch this early this week but don't know.
Or go to TAO website.. i think taoregon.com and call guys from the bend club.

Thanks guys, we're home from the break.  I did find a piece of BLM land off Highway 126 where we could shoot.  Its amazing how much rockier a place appears when you are walking around with an arrow on your string.  My eight year old and I spent an hour roving and had a great time.  On the way home he said, "That was my favorite part of spring break"  My honest reply was, "Me too."
