Maybe look into this:

Edward I Longbow Society-Frank S. Pons, 5818 Marshall Foch St., New Orleans, LA 70124, (504) 486-7149.

and then there's ARTAC if you are willing to drive to Baton Rouge

Hello Ellington!  I know this is a late response, but here we go!  After an 9 years hiatus, I'm finally getting back into the sport.  There are a few places to shoot relatively closeby.  There's Westbank Archery in Harvey, Louisiana Outdoors in Pearl River, and there's the New Orleans Archery Club that shoot out of Federal City in Algiers. The closest traditional club I know is ARTAC.  ARTAC is a great bunch of people, and the facility in Waddill is very vast and diverse.  I haven't shot up there in years, but Mike and Cindra Wesley are a big part of the club, and they are great people.

There's also Chag's on Veterans Blvd.  Sammy is very nice, just watch your limbs on the ceiling.
