Hunting pigs in New Orleans area this November
« on: September 15, 2011, 05:12:00 PM »
I will be at a meeting in New Orleans in November.  Wanted to do some early morning and late afternoon hunting while I was there.  Any suggestions on where to hunt? Dates are Nov 14-16

Thanks
Dave

Yep.  Like Kip said, Pearl River WMA is the closest public land pig area.  The pigs are there but it is thick thanks to Katrina.  I won't know my work schedule until it gets closer but if I'm off I can show you around.  I'm no expert on the area but I have take a few pigs from there.

I too will be in the LA area late October and contemplating bring a bow along.  I'll be working on the Naval Air Station for roughly 10 days (24 Oct - 5 Nov).  I'll be working during the day and open to afternoon hunts and/or stump shooting with the locals.  Weekends should be open as well.  Thanks.
