OPENING WEEKEND
« on: September 25, 2016, 07:20:00 PM »
I must be getting old...  Just couldn't bring myself to get out for the first time in forever on the opening weekend.  Or maybe I have gotten smarter ???  This heat was too much to face. And believe it or not there was a buck chasing a doe all over the pasture across the road from my house last Thursday.  Anyone out there facing the heat and doing any good ?

I suffered through it both Saturday and Sunday morning. It wasn't too awful terrible bad first thing. I called it quits about 9:00 both days. Saw several does but nothing in range. Maybe this cool front will help with deer movement a little. I know it'll help me stay after them. May try to go a few evenings after work this week.

Best of luck to everybody!

Good to know someone connected.  I have seen a few but haven't taken a shot yet.  Looks like the mast crop is at the max this year, in the Chatt area anyway.
