Start your engines-- the best time of the year is almost upon us. Working most of Sat. but will get out in the afternoon if it isn't too warm. Best of luck to ya'll and remember to stay safe. Hope to see your success photos.

Best to you Tom.  It's hard seeing all the hunting posts.  Now we get our chance to play.  Good luck to everyone.  Jeff

Good luck everyone.   I got a jump start by hunting in Pennsylvania yesterday and this morning.  Saw 6 bucks and 5 does yesterday and the only deer I saw today was a buck!  I saw one spike buck chase a doe all over the place!!  I passed a chance at a shot on a basket rack 7 pt. yesterday.  With a one buck limit, I'm much more selective than I will be tomorrow   ;)
Looking forward to seeing many hero shots over the next few months!
Have fun, and be careful.

Be safe all!

We are ready down here.  I just hope the deer will cooperate and stand still at 10 yards.

Jack, I've been to my Dr, a Chiropractor for 2 weeks, and now I've been going to a massage therapist. I evidently tore a muscle in my shoulder.

Everyone says just to go slow and let my body tell me when and what I can do.  I am able to get my bow back, but that's about it. I feel little gains in strength everyday.

Patience is key right now.....too bad I'm running out of it!  LOL

Allen--consider cold laser therapy if you can find it; can work wonders on soft tissue injuries and heal rate.  Works on the dogs, and there's no placebo effect....people you can con, so theoretically it works even better on them.

No, serious...my cousin's son plays baseball for University of Washington.  He screwed up his wrist sliding into second; looked like he'd miss the season.  I had her find a cold laser therapy unit; he was back on the field in 3-4 weeks.  Check it out.

How did everybody do? Not much activity here though while I was in a stand 125 yds. from the house my wife said there was a big buck in the back yard. He left while she was trying to get a picture of him.

I seen 8 this morning and dcided to take a swing at a small doe quartering away and just was just too much of an angle and I missed. It was a good morninng just the same, great to share hunts with your buddies.
Sat in a tree again this afternoon and didn't see anything until after six and then had a small 8 pt come to around 25 yds but no clear shots. Then the rain came and then got soaked.I just loved it.Glad to be back in the woods.I will get back out again in week in a half or so.

Good luck all

Out yesterday and saw 3 dinks but nothing took a ride home, just too early to fill a tag on yearlings when I know a big boy is in the neighborhood. Have seen some impressive rubs so far so am  waiting for him to show.

Just about every where I hunt has the earn a buck system. Well you can guess what I see, small bucks. I have had spikes at 12yds. broadside and 6 yds. broadside. The only doe I have had in range came from the wrong direction and caught my scent. I have a feeling about tomorrow.
