New Traditional Archer
« on: November 04, 2011, 11:40:00 AM »
Hi all!

Just getting into traditional archery and thought I'd say hello here in the Virginia forum. I live in Merrifield and hope to have the opportunity to meet (and learn from) other traditional archers and bowhunters in VA in the future.

Matt

Merrifield is part of the NoVA conglomerate   ;)   . It's in Falls Church, near Route 50 and 495.

Welcome Matt.  There are a few of us on here from Northern VA.  I'm in Herndon and hunt quite a lot in Great Falls.

Welcome Matt, you've just entered into a very addictive sport that you probably will never master.

Thanks all.

Stinger, I'd love to meet up with you all at some point. Would be fun to meet other people in the area with similar interests and I know I've got plenty to learn from people with more experience than myself.

Gretchen, I've definitely sensed that. Oh well, it's the journey that's the fun part, right?

Thanks 3blades. I stumbled on the NORVA website recently actually. It looks like meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month so I'll try to stop by next Tuesday for the December meeting and introduce myself.

Matt,

Welcome.  I'm lucky enough to have been dupped into the sec/treas job at NORVA.  Please come on down to our meeting next month at 7.

I commute past Merrifield every day.  Killdeer is a member on here that lives in Merrifield.  A few of us trad guys and gals tend to meet occasionally at the range on Sunday mornings.

And of course I'm always happy to meet up with someone local over a beer to talk hobbies...
