Went shed hunting today.
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:36:00 PM »
I took a walk this afternoon.  I covered a lot of ground and finally came across this shed.  It's not from the buck I've been seeing behind my house, so  I guess I have two nice bucks to chase next season!  Not bad for a Virginia buck.

The G2 is 10" and the G3 is 9 3/4".  He's lacking length in the brow tine which is only about 3".   I can't wait to see him this fall    :)

I don't think it's shooter.  Well, maybe, just maybe... next year.

Just my opinion.

Just in case you're kidding Doc, I think I'll keep hunting around here.
By the way, have your secured the Cool Springs Southeastern estate yet?

Bill, that looks just like one of the bucks on my place. Are you sure you didn't sneak up to Orange County. I just remembered that I didn't blind fold you and have you ride facing backwards in the bed of my truck that time I let you hunt there with me!   :biglaugh:

Hey Doc, why don't you just hold on to your current place AND buy the other.  The Cool Springs Gang needs a place to stay when we come down to Dixie.

Great idea, Bill....I'm calculating rent.  Then again, the new place is about the same distance away from the range, just in the opposite direction.  Maybe I'll throw up some condos, or 5-6 log cabins.  Any requests for how y'all would like them outfitted?

Hope to make Dixie; everybody staying for an afternoon round?  Might not be able to be there early...we'll see.

Nice one there, Bill. Maybe he will go blind between now and fall-just so he doesn't notice that tree growing from the real tree.
If you think you can or think you can't-you're right.
