It took me a year to get everything voted in but we have a Traditional 3D shoot sceduled for September 10th. 2011.

We will have 25 minimum 3D targets with a few novelty shoots, I hope to see y-all out there.

A trad shoot on 9-10-11?

That's a long way away, but maybe I can at least remember the date.

Hey! I have the day off!

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I just checked... it's only 99 miles one way!  Only 2 hours, 7 minutes.

By my math caculations (WITH THE COST OF GAS IN SEPTEMBER... carry the 1, and divided by 4 people in the vehicle, and the westerly wind pushing the Chevy Uplander)... well, that means (again, by thinking of September's gas prices)... it's only $982.00 per person to make the drive up and back).

Looks like 50 miles for me.  Anyone want to carpool from up north?  Kathy?

The novelty shoots that I'm thinking of:

Long shot at one of the 3D targets.
Jug shoot.
Maybe a CD shoot. or Clay Pigeon shoot

All Novelty shoots will be $1.00 per 1-2 arrows cept the Jug shoot & Clay Pigeons which will be $5.00 to participate with 50/50 pay back to the winner of each event.

The Long Shot is self explanatory.

The Jug Shoot is something I participated in last year at the St. Judes shoot in Augusta Archers.
2 1 gallon milk jugs suspended by rope & pulleys, 2 participants per end.
Whoever empties the jug first & causes opponents jug to hit the ground wins the round.

The CD Shoot is something I've started last year from an idea when I participated in indoor shooting with a compound.
A regular CD "junk or otherwise" suspended by fishing line in front of a target bale at roughly 20 yards distance.
Object of the game is to hit the center hole without touching the CD.
I may not do this one because it’s really geared for sight shooters with training wheels but who knows.

The Clay Pigeons Something I'm borrowing from Sherwood Archers "hope they don't mind."
Hang 3 clay pigeons & the object is to eliminate all 3 pigeons with 3 shots.
I know I had a blast participating in this, & if there is enough request I may bring this one out.

Well there you have it ladies & gents, my list of Novelty Shoots for this event, I will have at least 2 of these available.

Please let me know what y'all think so I can make sure I have my ducks in a row for this.
