Good job Allen, man its been tough here. I hunted everyday last week and got one shot at a deer. It was being chased by a coyote. Got the deer and the coyote though. I cant post pictures any more. They put a web filter on our puters and cant get to photobucket.

Way to shoot Steve-now we need the story. Nice looking quiver you got there and some backstraps to boot.

Cool.  I've had a yote howling around my house for the past month now.  Haven't seen it yet.  Was barking Saturday morning in the field below me.  What's the story on that one?

The deer ran up behind my tree and stopped about 40 yards away, it stood there for a few minutes looking back from where it came. I heard a dog bark one time like a yap. It sounded like a little house dog, just one yap. It was probably a couple hundred yards away. About every 45 seconds to a minute I could hear one yap, but it was getting closer. Finally the deer started to run right by me, I drew and bleated real loud with my mouth and the deer stopped about 15 yards away. I shot it and as soon as it ran off I heard the yap right behind me. I saw the coyote running right at me. I just barely had time to get another arrow on the string and shot it running at about 10 yards. Alot of people I have talked too are seeing and hearing coyotes this year. We had a bunch around about 5 years ago, but the past few years you didn't hear much about them. Gonna try and get the predator call out this winter and hunt them. Steve

Congrats Steve.I miss the early season bowhuntin already. Now the woods are bare and bullets are flying, and I am contributing as well. The love of the hunt is always with a bow in hand though.I still might get another swing at one.Take care and good huntin..

Thanks Allen!  I can now see that he has at least 12 inch tines and weighs about 250+.  Your photographer never ceases to amaze me!

You certainly are finding the bucks this year!  I'm envious. I took the smokepole out a few times and didn't see much, so I've decided to get the bow back out.  I'd much rather shoot a doe with a bow than a buck with a rifle.

Good shooting.  See ya soon.
